Meet Kathy Pflaum

Owner of Plumm Fibers Design

Fibers, Fabrics, Paper to found objects to metals where two dimensional
design meets the convention of three dimensional form

Her stunning fiber mixed media artwork will completely change your perspective on what art can be.

Starting as a traditional quilting artist, Kathy has since exclusively evolved her craft to focus on fiber art. Using folded and hand-dyed fabrics, along with print-making techniques and metal, she creates mind-blowing mixed media pieces.

But Kathy's creativity doesn't stop there. She experiments with silk roving, silk fibers, wool, alpaca, and other non-fabric fibers to add depth and dimension to her work. It allows her to create both breathtaking two-dimensional and jaw-dropping three-dimensional pieces.

Kathy's talent has been recognized far and wide. She has exhibited her artwork in galleries throughout Kansas and has even designed two magnificent quilts to commemorate significant events. If you have yet to see her work, now is your chance! You can find her latest masterpiece, made with copper from the Kansas Capitol Dome, exclusively at the Kansas Capitol and the Kansas Historical Museum gift shops.

But that's not all - Kathy will also be one of the featured visual artists at The Coffee Bar's Flora and Fauna show in September. And if you're craving a deeper dive into her artistry, take advantage of her solo show at the Sage Crossing Gallery in October.

Trust me, you want to take advantage of the opportunity to see Kathy Pflaum's breathtaking work in person. So mark your calendar and stop by - you won't be disappointed.
